How does the integration work

Once a specific request in Siit is linked to Jira (either manually or automatically), an issue is created and key information is synchronized between the request and the issue, until the request is unlinked again.

Create workflow in Siit to determine the Jira project.

How to set up the integration ?

To start the integration you need to connect Siit with Jira Service management.

  1. Go to the Settings and select Jira

  2. Enter your JSM domain

  3. Then enter your email address that you use for logging into Jira

  4. Finally your Jira Service Management API key by log in to this page

  5. Click on Submit and it's done. Siit is now connected with JSM.

Features currently not supported in the synchronization:

  • Required fields on issues are not supported, apart from summary and description – trying to link a request with an issue type with more required fields will fail.

  • Advanced formatting from Jira is not translated in employee notifications.

  • Issues and requests created directly in Jira are not synchronized with Siit.
